Masking or non-masking?
For OTP or internal notifications, non-masking is the low-cost choice (from ৳0.28). When customers need to see a familiar name — orders, bills, promotions — choose masking. Many businesses use both.
Masking questions
What can a sender ID contain?
Up to 11 characters — English letters, numbers and spaces. No special characters. The name must match your organisation.
How long does approval take?
Usually 1–3 working days.
Which documents do I need?
An application on your letterhead (with seal and signature), your trade licence and the applicant's NID.
Do I pay the masking fee every time?
No. It is a one-time ৳500 for each new sender ID.
Can I send promotional messages in English?
Promotional SMS to consumers is expected to be in Bangla. OTP and transactional messages can be sent in English.
